That last burst!
She stuck to the plan without panicking. For 75% of the race she was 4th.

Tears of joy in Hima Das's eyes when National Anthem of India was played after receiving Gold Medal
IT’S NOT THE SHOES. IT’S THE SOUL.
This is the daughter of a rice farmer, and her name is Hima.
She ate rice and daal (lentils), not supplements and protein bars.
She ran in rice fields before she could step onto any real track.
She wore cheap, worn-out spikes, but she didn’t let that matter.
She’s notorious for having a one-track mind, never caring about who her competition in the next lane is.
She just took Gold in the 400m event at the World U20 Championships in Finland.
And she’s the first Indian track athlete - male or female - to win a gold medal at any global track event.
That’s what success looks like.
Say her name: Hima Das.
