Beware of the false claims of packaged food industries

Beware of the false claims by Packaged Food Industries

Now let us look into the packaged food sold at the higher price under the label ORGANIC

Recently, I happened to visit a Sugarcane farm of my friend in Kolhapur Maharashtra - India. What I understood from my friend was:-

It takes 4 years to convert any farmland into an Organic farm. The process is, first the soil samples are taken for analysis to find out the type of contamination it has. It depends very much on (a) what type of crop was produced earlier on this land (b) what type of Chemical fertilizer was used for the earlier crop (c) What type of pesticides were used for the earlier crop.

Depending upon the type of the Chemical contaminations found in the soil the method and procedure of getting rid of such chemicals from the soil is worked out. The crop which helps eliminate/remove/reduce chemical contamination from the farmland is grown.

This procedure continues for 4 consecutive years to make the farmland totally chemical-free. Thereafter the crops/farm produced on this farmland is permitted and qualified to get the label of "ORGANIC"

But my question is, what about the common man who pays the high price for such "organic" food and consumes it for the health benefits. His or her own body is already contaminated with the residue of the lots of chemicals out of Pharma pills he/she is subject to pop in if not daily like Heart and Diabatic patients, at least occasional use of the common pain killer

The bottom line is giants of both the Pharma and Packaged Food Industries, in reality, making more profits from the common consumers.
