In good olden days, back home in Bhavnagar, we had a dedicated place/platform for placing earthen pots filled with drinking water fetched from the well or river. This was a common practice in India some 30-40 years ago and it was known as PANIYAARU. Every day, in the evening around sunset time 6.30 PM a Ghi Lamp was lit and placed near the Earthen Drinking Water Pot on the platform.
